Delete Your Account

Wheee is operated by Akhil Sabu trading as Wheee (NZBN: 9429052914478). To delete your account and all associated data, please email us from the email address linked to your Wheee account.

How to Request Deletion

Send an email to hello@wheee.co.nz with:

Subject line: Delete my account
From: The email address linked to your Wheee account
Include:
- Your registered phone number
- Your full name

What Gets Deleted

We will permanently delete:

Profile information (name, email, phone, saved addresses)
Saved places and favourites
Ride history linked to your account (see below for the anonymised records we must keep)
Saved payment methods (deleted from our payment provider), and the account and card references in your payment records (removed within 30 days)
Push notification tokens
Chat messages exchanged with drivers

What We Retain and Why

We are required to keep some records:

Billing records and invoices: Retained for 7 years to comply with New Zealand Inland Revenue record-keeping requirements.
Payment records: The amount, date, outcome and non-identifying card details (brand, type, issuing country, wallet) of past payments are kept with billing records for 7 years. The references linking them to your account and card are removed within 30 days.
Booking and trip records: Ride history linked to your account is removed. Some booking and trip records are retained in anonymised form, no longer linked to your name or contact details, where required for financial, tax, legal, safety or dispute records.
Anonymised aggregate ride statistics: Retained indefinitely for service improvement. This data is stripped of any identifiers linking back to you.

Timeline

We will confirm your deletion request within 3 business days of receiving your email, and complete the deletion within 30 days.
