Refer a Friend

How it works

• Your friend gets 25% off a ride (up to $10 off) — applied automatically when they sign up with your referral code. New riders also get our welcome offer, which applies first; the 25% credit stays on their account for a later ride.
• You get a $5 ride credit — added to your account once your friend completes their first Wheee ride.
• Share your code from the app; there's nothing for either of you to enter manually beyond the code at sign-up.

Terms & conditions

• The referred friend must be a new Wheee rider who hasn't taken a Wheee ride before. One referral reward per person.
• The friend's 25% discount is capped at $10. New riders receive the welcome offer as well, and the welcome credit applies first — the 25% credit is not lost, it remains on their account for a later eligible ride. Standard fares and the $2 service fee still apply; any amount above the discount is payable.
• Your $5 referrer credit is granted after your friend's first ride is completed — not at their sign-up. It's valid for 30 days.
• You can refer up to 10 friends. Each successful referral earns one $5 credit.
• One credit applies per ride; referral credits can't be combined with each other, with the welcome offer, or with other promotions on the same trip.
• Rides must be within Wheee's Wellington service area.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire if unused.
• Referrals must be genuine. Self-referrals, fake accounts, or other abuse will void the rewards, and Wheee may vary, pause, or withdraw the programme at any time.
